| Mentoring Opportunities |
|
The youth mentoring program is staffed by volunteers from local colleges and the community. Mentors receive training and supervision and meet weekly with children between the ages of 9 and 16 to provide support, encouragement, and to help facilitate positive changes in the lives of young people in Cortland County. Opportunities exist for mentors to work with individual youth or a group of youth. Individuals interested in learning more about volunteer opportunities may contact the Youth Assist Program Coordinator at 753-0234.

| Employment Opportunities |

Positions available in Chemical Dependency Programs operating in Madison and Cortland County. Duties include providing client evaluations, group and individual counseling. Must be able to work in a team centered environment. Supervision provided. Minimum credential: CASAC. Preferred credentials include a Master's Degree in Social Work with a license to practice in NY; LMSW, or LCSW, and 1-2 years of paid experience providing chemical dependency services/counseling. Full time positions offer a 35 hour work week, paid holidays/vacation and sick leave and the availability of health/dental insurance. Some evening hours required.
